How we make money

Some of the makers in this catalogue pay us a small commission when someone buys through a link on this site. Where that is the case, the link carries a tag that tells the maker the visit came from us.

It never changes your price. A commission is paid out of the maker’s margin, not added to your total. Where a maker has given us a discount code, using it makes the piece cheaper, not dearer.

It never decides what goes in the catalogue. Pieces are catalogued because they exist and are worth knowing about. Most makers here have no arrangement with us at all, and their pieces are listed exactly the same way, with the same detail, in the same order. Nothing is ranked, promoted, or hidden on the basis of what it pays.

We are not a shop. Nothing is bought here. Every piece links out to the maker who made it, and your purchase, your payment and your delivery are entirely between you and them.
